GREAT TWO DAYS WITH ELDER & SISTER PARRISH
We experienced a real treat as we met with Elder and Sister Parrish who work in the Area Office in Johannesburg as communication and media specialists! On top of that, we knew the Parrish's when they lived in our home ward for a short time! Elder Parrish has had a fun resume, as he previously worked in media with such companies as Disney! He is a real asset to the Area and the church in helping promote the church here in South Africa, particularly in such things as the Light the World Campaign, and in helping promote the church via radio, billboards, and other capacities. I was super excited about all these things since I have also worked in media and loved it with a passion!
This was a fun two days to reconnect and come up with some creative ways in which we can use various forms of media and promotion materials to further the work here in our mission!
We went to the temple site where it started raining as we got back into the car! The temple is coming along! No dates yet on when it will be finished!
