Since the MTC in Joberg is closed for renovations, our newest Elders came from the United States.
Their plane was about three hours late, but we didn't mind waiting for them! It was worth it. These three are powerful!
President Thompson greets our new missionaries as they walked through the door.
Elder Ah Sam
Elder Flake
Elder Lewis
As for tradition, we gathered around the airport piano and sang some powerful hymns.
Lots of people gathered around, took photos, and applauded!
Elder Flake, Lewis, Ah Sam
Our wonderful Assistants waited with us for three hours at the airport!
Back: Elders Homer, Flake, Lewis, Ah Sam, Mshweshwe
Front: Elder Moyo, Jantjies, Jewkes
Elder Flake (don't you just love the word behind him?)
Elder Ah Sam (at first I wanted to pronounce this as 'awesome', but it really is Ah and then SAM)
He really is awesome though!
Elder Lewis

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but I don't know if the MTC is still closed. It should say on your son's letter which MTC he will be going to. Is he coming to Durban?
