Another Branch in Maputsoe Lesotho

2nd Branch in a year!

Another Maputsoe Lesotho Branch was created on Sunday, July 22, 2018

This area is really growing fast thanks to our fabulous missionaries and the beautiful people of Lesotho have prepared themselves to accept ths gospel of Jesus Christ.

 We combined our welcome meal for Elder Da Silva with three of our departing missionaries.

Three of our missionaries are being transferred to Uganda to finish their missions. We are so sad to see them go, but we know they will continue to stay true to the Lord's errand!

Newcastle District Conference

Newcastle District Conference 

The conference was held at a school in Madadeni. Estimated attendance was about 300+

 President and Sister Thompson, their daughter Nicole, and Sister and Elder Chatara (Area Seventy)

The conference topic was on ministering. It was a wonderful meeting!

The day before, President Thompson and other leaders went out to visit some of the brothers and sisters who have not been to church for a while. President and one of the branch President's visited a man who had not been to church in several years. After visiting with him and inviting him to come to the conference, the gentleman agreed.  He said that he knew he needed to return! In the middle of the conference, Elder Chatora asked this good brother to bear his testimony - which he did.  It was powerful, articulate, and the spirit was very strong!

Becoming A Missionary in Lesotho

BECOMING A MISSIONARY

One of our Senior Sister Missionaries helped put together a special fireside for prospective missionaries. The fireside was conducted in all five districts.

The one below is in Maseru Lesotho

We are hoping to have at least 50 young men and women leave on missions from our districts

The fireside was uplifting and edifying as well as inspirational and informative!

Just look at this fabulous trio of Sisters! It has been a long time since the mission has had sister missionaries!  We will be receiving three more senior sisters in the next few weeks! What a blessing to have these wonderful women grace our mission!  The District President in Lesotho calls them the 

Three Musketeers!
