We had the privilege of spending this past week in Johannesburg at the Mission Presidents Seminar. We were spiritually fed and instructed by our Area Presidency. We also got to spend this time with many of the same couples who were at the MTC with us prior to our missions.
The mission president and his wife from the Democratic Republic of Congo. They speak French, so President Thompson was able to communicate with them since he is fluent in French.
Mark and Jacquie Palmer are dear family friends. We spent 12 years together in the same ward in Texas. Mark was recently called to be a general authority. He is assigned as a counselor to the President of the Africa South Africa Area. They will live in Johannesburg, so we will have the privilege of seeing them a few times each year. We are in good hands!!!
