Eight Valiant Missionaries Goodbye Dinner & Testimony Meeting
Mothers of our missionaries must have trained them well - I can't remember a time when the missionaries didn't just clean up without being asked! Thank you Elders!
After dinner we are instructed by President Thompson
before our missionaries offer their final testimony as a missionary in Durban!
We sing an opening song
This group was our first "large" group that came when President and I were new to the mission!
Elder Fullmer offers a powerful testimony! He has worked diligently and
has been a great example and role model to all of us!
Elder Phillips has grown leaps and bounds! One of our most powerful,
obedient, and faithful missionaries! He has been amazing!
Elder Harris is a powerhouse! He has a gentle, yet confident testimony,
and has always shown great respect for others!
Elder Russell is fun and energetic! He became a powerful leader in the mission
and no doubt will have the same capability when he returns home!
Elder Harbertson is very knowledgeable in the gospel and a great teacher.
He offers a powerful goodbye testimony!
Elder Hauck offers a powerful testimony. He has the ability to get along with everyone!
Elder Christensen is another faithful missionary! We have been blessed by so
many good missionaries!
We get to keep Elder Merritt for one more transfer! He has been Assistant
to the President, and helped figure out all the logistics for this transfer - which
is no easy task and requires long hours! President Thompson will almost always put
his Assistants back into the field on their last transfer - therefore, Elder Merritt
will be opening a new area in Free State in Virginia.
Elder Ntaka is very powerful, humble, and faithful. He has been called
to be an Assistant to the President.
Elder Guymon is our other new faithful Assistant! He is a true leader in every sense of the word!
Elder Lowe (left) also offered a powerful testimony. He has always demonstrated great faith
and humility. He has also been a model companion, leader, and missionary!
At the end of the testimony meeting, our departing Elders receive their "packets". It has their travel itinerary, passports, and other important documents to take with them.
We are going to miss every one of these wonderful missionaries! It has truly been an honor to serve with them their entire mission!
We love them and look forward to meeting up with them in the future!
